Creating and managing ladder diagrams have never been easier. Drag and drop symbols or wires onto ladder rungs, and they will be automatically renamed according to their rung numbers.

When a rung height increased, wires and symbols are automatically moved to follow the run height. LadderZones are easily customizable using right click, be it starting numbers or number of cells it contains.

Electra uses an unprotected Access format database to store component information. Users with Access installed can open the database and edit component information directly. The Access format database is highly portable, and can be easily emailed to customers and clients or collaborators.

Component specifications can be exportable to Excel where editing is a breeze. Specifications can also be downloaded from manufacturer websites to be imported back into the database using numerous formats including tab separated values (tsv) or comma separated values (csv).

Component specifications in Electra are organized by categories. For example, when selecting components for a relay symbol, users are presented with multiple relays in the "Relay" category, to simplify component selection. More components are still available outside of their categories, including a search tool for component keywords.

Creating components and categories to be stored on database is super easy. Simply drag and drop components to their categories and you're done. Components are allowed appear in more than one categories.

Once a component is selected and linked to a symbol on your drawing, component information are then stored on drawing itself, making the drawing extremely portable and sharable without losing any information.

Create fantastic looking Title Blocks with logos, scales and page information using Electra's pre-built title block shapes. Once created, right click on any title block to edit information, or choose to create your own title block data and specify whether to have these data apply throughout the document or only on a single page.

Drop the Table Of Content (TOC) shape and right click to have Electra automatically generates a Table of Contents for your drawings.

Since Electra works on Microsoft Visio, and Visio being part of Microsoft Office, therefore Electra and Visio is tightly integrated into Microsoft office.

Users can embed Electra drawings into Microsoft Word documents and have the document automatically updated when you edit an Electra drawing.
